A little over a week ago, a whole bunch of Lauren and Eric’s close family and friends boarded airplanes and headed to Now Jade Resort and Spa in Riveria Maya, Mexico for a fabulous destination wedding. Those of us that left from Cleveland were expecting to go someplace warmer and sunnier, but since Memorial Day weekend brought us record high temperatures here in Ohio, Mexico actually ended up feeling just like home. Of course, the scenery was a heck of a lot better and nobody in Cleveland is bringing me a frozen drink with an umbrella in at 10AM.
I’ve been in close contact with Lauren throughout the planning of her wedding and learned quite a bit about her. That said, I did learn some new things about her and Eric while I was in Mexico. The story goes that several years ago Nurse Lauren spotted “Hot Paramedic” Eric in the hospital ER. They met, dated, fell in love, planned a wedding in Mexico and then got engaged! Yeah – they planned the wedding first, then he proposed.
I also learned a thing or two about myself while I was in Mexico. Mainly, that shooting weddings with sand between your toes is pretty cool way to shoot a wedding. I am so glad Lauren and Eric chose me to be a part of their day.
