Danielle has been the hero of our household this summer. She was there everyday to make to help with Carter and Paige – getting them to camps, to practices, and making sure they ate lunch. I’m probably leaving a few things out!
But this post really isn’t about Danielle. It’s about testing out a new camera system. For years I’ve been a Canon shooter. Starting with an AE-1P, then some point and shoot digitals, a Digital Rebel, and finally moving on to using the Canon 5D Mark II and Mark III for all my professional shoots. Only thing I don’t like about those cameras is that they are big and heavy.
At the start of the year I purchased a Fuji X100s. It’s become my family camera. Small, great images, easy to use. More recently, I purchased a Fuji X-T1 and a couple of lenses. Since it was a new system and I really wanted to get a feel for what it could do without the pressure of having to deliver on a client a session, I reached out to Danielle for a little help.
Think the X-T1 and I are going to get along just fine.
