What are your photographic resolutions for 2010? Whether you are an established pro or just picking up a camera there has to be something you should want to push yourself to do to become a better photographer.
I’ve been thinking of what I want to do photographically in 2010. One thought was “a picture a day”. It’s a great way to go out and force yourself to pick up your camera every day and shoot something. They aren’t all going to be masterpieces, but that’s not the point. The point is that you’ll be practicing every day. You’ll be changing the settings on the you camera, your flash. You’ll be pushing ISOs and shutter speeds. You’ll be learning your gear. I know because I did it a couple of years ago. That’s my problem with taking it on again – a sort of been there and done that.
Another one that’s interesting to me is a “100 Strangers” project. I know a few people who have taken this on. It’s a challenge for a lot of reasons. First, you’re going to need to have your camera with you all the time because you never know when you’ll find the perfect stranger. Second, and probably harder than the last point, is that you’re going to have to approach somebody you don’t know and ask them – without seeming completely like a stalker – and ask them if you can take their picture. I’m greedy, I’d probably have to ask if I could take a couple. 😉
Still not sure what I’m going to take on. I have a few other ideas rattling around the old noggin that I’m not ready to share. Good thing I have a couple more days to 2010 to sort it all out. 🙂
What sort of challenges can you think up?
I do have Best Cam. I take my pics using that and then load one pic a day into Project 365.
